Mantel is a Mission

In 1st year school of ministry at Bethel I remember Kris Vallotton explaining some of the difference between a Mantel and the Anointing. A mantel could be called a mission, and the anointing, being the presence of God, can also be the power that fuels a persons mantel (mission). Anointing can flow through a mantel.

Today I'm in Canyonville, Oregon. It's interesting to me how the anointing of God flows differently for me in different places. When I'm at Bethel for example, the anointing is mostly penetrating. When I'm in the I-5 Corridor its more flowing. Although I see miracles and experience the power of God ministering to people at Bethel, I actually see greater miracles outside of Bethel. I started to realize that there are certain regions that God has given me more grace in. I can see people get touched and healed anywhere but more so in certain places. I see more miracles happen in Africa than in Latin America for example. Mantles (missions) can be for regions, periods of time, a people, a particular plan, or combinations of these. Right now I feel especially called to the I-5 Corridor from Roseburg Oregon northward, up into Oregon and Washington. I also feel called back to Africa. I have a sense that India and other places of the USA are also places God will be sending me. As things change in the USA (I believe the USA as a whole is going to be saved once again), I believe that the mantel that God has put on my life will shift also toward the USA.

As God knits others together (friends, ministry partners, husband and wife), mantles and anointings can shift, move, re-create. God is very creative. I believe God's general nature is to flow. He seems to have created life to be that way. May God give you generously the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation to sense the direction of His favor for your life, and may you always remain sensitive to the shifting of His Wind.

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5
