In early 2009 Jim Thornton saw a vision of a glory funnel coming down from the sky when he was praying at the Bethel Prayer House in Redding California. He was praying a blessing over the land so he thought the funnel would hit the ground, but to his surprise, it turned, went through the trees and past the mountain. Not knowing the direction it went he quickly checked and found it was going straight up I-5 North. Then he heard the word, Albany Oregon, knowing that the power of God was going to hit that area then continue up into Oregon and beyond. A few months later Jim was sharing this with Pastor Dan Amakobe from Africa who exclaimed he had heard from the Lord two months prior saying that God was going to start a mighty revival fire in Oregon that would then leap to other states. Pastor Dan is known for getting spot on Words of Knowledge. He also said the Lord showed him that this revival fire would start with smaller groups of hungry sold out people for Jesus. Later that year Heidi and Rolland Baker came to Bethel to preach and minister. Heidi kept getting a Word from the Lord that Oregon was going to get hit with fire from Heaven. She said it was funny, she did not hear any other state but kept hearing Oregon, Oregon. Jim was at that service and was able to receive impartation from Heidi and Rolland that night.
And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5
